Il était moitié médecin moitié technocrate, à Genève. Il avait un nom. Il n'en a plus : on le lui a retiré un soir, avec le reste de son existence. Une limousine devant, une derrière, un coup de freins, des portières qui claquent, un pistolet-mitrailleur, deux baffes bien assénées, une cagoule, des jours dans une cave sous perfusion et somnifères... Normal pour un kidnapping !
C'est au réveil que ça commence à clocher, quelque part dans un désert africain, à côté d'un vieillard gravement gangrené, quand un commando humanitaire lui confie la responsabilité médicale du village dans lequel il l'abandonne...


He used to be a half-doctor, half-technocrat, in Geneva. He used to have a name. He no longer has one: it was taken away from him, one evening/night, along with the rest of his existence. A limo in front of him, another behind him, the sound of a brake, doors slamming, a machine-pistol, two palpable/hard slaps, a balaclava, days spent in a basement on a drip and stuffed with sleeping pills… The usual way of dealing with a kidnapped person! But things get weird when he wakes up, somewhere in an African desert, next to a seriously gangrenous old man, and a humanitarian commando tasks him with medically taking care of the village in which they are now leaving him…
