Chen Qiufan (A.K.A. Stanley Chan)’s work has been translated into many languages, winning awards in China and overseas. Published works included: The Waste Tide, Thin Code and Future Disease. As one of the representatives of new generation of sf writers, he is known for his realism, often being called “China’s William Gibson.” He is also a script writer, creative supervisor, and columnist, often being asked to share his insights into the development of science and technology. After 10 years of working for companies such as Baidu and Google, Chen became Vice President of Noitom, a startup focused on motion capture and virtual reality technology.
